TERMS & CONDITIONS OF SERVICES
1. General
These Terms apply to all services provided by Cooper Home & Garden Solutions within Gloucester and surrounding areas.
Engaging our services constitutes acceptance of these Terms.
2. Quotations
Quotations are valid for 30 days.
Quotes are based on visible conditions and information provided.
Hidden defects, structural issues, or unforeseen complications may result in revised pricing.
Additional works must be agreed in writing.
3. Deposits & Payments
Deposits may be required for larger projects or where materials are ordered.
Deposits are non-refundable once materials have been purchased.
Payment is due upon completion unless otherwise agreed.
Late payments may incur statutory interest under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
4. Client Responsibilities
The client must:
Provide safe, clear access to the work area
Disclose known hazards
Ensure utilities are available
Remove valuable or fragile items from work areas
Failure to provide safe access may result in rescheduling and additional charges.
5. Materials & Client-Supplied Goods
We are not responsible for:
Defects in client-supplied materials
Manufacturer faults
Incorrect items ordered by the client
Advice given does not transfer liability for product choice.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
We are not responsible for pre-existing structural defects.
Liability is limited to the value of the service provided.
Nothing excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
7. Property Development & Project Management Protection Clause
For development management services:
We act as project manager unless otherwise agreed.
Responsibility for structural engineering, architectural design, and building regulation approval remains with appointed professionals.
Clients remain responsible for obtaining planning permission and statutory approvals unless explicitly contracted otherwise.
We are not liable for delays caused by suppliers, weather, third-party contractors, or regulatory authorities.
8. Moving Day Service Disclaimer
For home moving services:
Wall fixings are installed based on standard practice.
We are not liable for hidden pipework, wiring, or structural weaknesses not reasonably detectable.
Clients are responsible for confirming suitability of installation locations.
9. Insurance
We hold Public Liability Insurance appropriate for our services. Evidence can be provided upon request.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
